SO CHUFFED!!

So i havent had a cigarette in 61 days, how awesome is that??? i am so so glad i gave it up!! Saving some years on my life, not to mention the money!! Man!!
i dont think i will ever smoke again, no, this time its for real!! Dont get me wrong it was tough as heck to quit, but way way worth it!!
If you reading this and you smoke, put it out and quit best thing ever!!

lil _Fat Bastard_ (Jack)

I love this dog more than anything, this is him after he decided to go hunting in the veld or something!! His name is jack, but now he is known as _Fat Bastard_ he is such a fatty as seen in the picture, he is always by the food bowl or hovering under your feet if there is food being made!! haha

photos from one hellva a hot day

So i was looking at some pictures today, and thought dam i really like these pics, dunno why, they just rad!!
We went one Sunday to go watch a Polo match and in the morning when we left it was rather nippy, so as you can see in the pictures i had my black jeans on, boy would i regret making that choice!!!!
So we get there and the pavilion is FULL, so we take the blanket and scout for shade cos is getting hot now and the clouds have burnt away eeeek!!!
As you can see in the first picture i am standing in what was probably the only piece of shade in a 200km radius!! Even the photos look over exposed!! man it was so hot, im not lying when i thought i was going to die after my head exploded from the heat headache!! Shat, well lesson learnt, always take back up shorts!!!
But i really love the second pic, i also really love the lady standing next to me lots and lots!!!

Kodak Instamatic 155X and 134

As mentioned in the post below i got these two awesome camera's too. The 155X started production in September 1971 and was done in 1977, not a bad run if you ask me, this one is still in working order, I will start snapping soon as i think it will make for some amazing snaps!!
The 134 wasintroduced in 1968 and was withdrawn in 1971, also not a bad run and yes this one works too, just takes some strange film that is going to be a bit of a mission to find i think. Its really cool and i will make a plan and find some film, will post any snaps i take with them as soon as i can!!

My "new" old machine

So one of our family friends owns a little photo shop and people come in and just give him their old camera???????????? HUH??????
Anyways, i went to visit him one day and we started talking about my Diana+F and he said hold on a tick and gave me this 1981 Canon AE-1 just like that!!! Nice!!!
I like it so much!!

I dont know him, but i would dig to!! What a awesome looking fella, this i am sure was taken at the greatest human gathering of all time, Woodstock. I think that was the coolest, raddest, most amazing gathering of caring, free loving, sharing humans ever!!!!!

So here is the reason i / we (Jess) have been so quiet, i got a nice present from the tax and man and decided to buy some nice things for us, so i got the nice tv and a hd dstv and a couch which we are expecting soon (i hope) and that is probably why we have been so quiet, not to mention work, man oh man, such is life i guess, hope i didnt loose all of the few that read my blog due to lack of posts, do come back!!!

She is a very intelligent lady, so smart, i've heard possibly the smartest women in Africa, believe it. She also happens to be my best friend Craig's long time girlfriend, who is also like my Girlfriend Jess's best friend. How lucky are we to all be besties. Could you believe it?

Well believe it, because its true!!!
Yes that is me in a McDonald's "uniform" I worked there when i was in high school to try make money for a jol and shoes and skateboards and stuff!!! It was pretty cool actually, my household always had the famous mayonnaise, big mac sauce, caramel sauce. Ya it was cool, but not!!!

New old hobby

I used to play the guitar back in the day when i was in high school, i was never like a Jimmy Page or Hendrix, but I enjoyed it, don't know why i stopped? I could have been really good by now!! Oh well, 15 years later I have decided it was time to try remaster the art of twanging a guitar. Jess got me theis little set up for my birthday last year and I must say, Its going much better than i expected, Now I just need to re-learn all the chords and scales and stuff!!! Even if it never takes me anywhere I just dig making Noise. I did however learn how to play Vampire Weekends A-Punk, NICE!!!!!

Big Beer = Egg on leg

So we were on holiday this dec in durban right, go here for some more tales. While there we met up with some mates from the hood at Hooters (Yes like the one from America) and had these HUGE beers, WOW!! thats what I said when I saw them!! We sat around dranks some beer, had a tequilla and some chow, (they got fries that look like pigs tails, sorry no photo's but they got chowed too quickly) and decided to head off to the beach!!
We were playing around doing this doing that and some how someway i managed to hit my shin on a rock or something, the photo below is not the best quality but you can get an idea of what happened. it just swelled up and i had an egg on my leg, It was kinda sore, but later on it was kinda VERY sore, left a bruise so big!! Note to self stay clear of rocks on beach front.
